Some speakers at online events kindly permit us to record their presentations to share with our members. These videos are on YouTube, but marked Private, only visible to members who have been granted access. The link to the form to request access is in most member emails, and asks for an email address that has an associated YouTube account (this need not be the same email with which you registered for MEDATS membership).
You may request up to three videos at a time, which will be shared with you for a minimum of two weeks before your access is removed so that the video can be shared with other members. When you finish watching the first set of videos, please complete the form again to request a different set, and we will understand that you are finished viewing the first set, and remove your access to them. If you need more than three recordings simultaneously, please contact us at videos@medats.org.uk and we will bypass the limitations imposed by the request form.
After you fill out the form, a volunteer will copy and paste your email address into the Private Share box for the videos you have requested. Please be patient and do give us at least a day to get done. Once you have been granted access, YouTube will send you a notification from “no-reply@youtube.com” with the subject line “A private video was shared with you“. If you requested multiple videos, you will receive multiple emails, each with a unique link to a different video.
After you receive this notification from YouTube, be sure that you are in a browser that is logged into the YouTube account at which you requested access, then click the link the email notification about the video you wanted to watch. You may also try clicking the links below, all of which will fail until you have been granted access. Because of YouTube limits on the number of people with whom a video may be shared, we have uploaded multiple copies of some videos, so try each video link listed.
If you have requested the videos wanted, received an email from YouTube granting you access, logged into your account and yet still cannot view the recording, contact videos@medats.org.uk for help.
